Kettleby Valley is the Summer Camp Toronto Kids Love to Call Home!

If you’re looking for a traditional outdoor summer camp that offers both day and overnight programs in the G.T.A., Kettleby Valley is the summer camp Toronto kids love to call home.  There are many summer camps near Toronto, but few can compare to our beautiful setting and convenient location, with over 60 acres in the heart of York Region. Kettleby Valley has the look and feel of a northern Ontario camp without the three hour drive.

Our day camp program offers busing from two locations - downtown Toronto and North York. Our program is open to campers from 4 ½ (completed junior kindergarten by the summer) to 14 (completed grade 8). Kettleby Valley also has an overnight camp on the same site for children grades 3 to 8. For the experienced camper, KVC offers an Algonquin Park canoe tripping program for children grades 7 and 8.

A Great Counsellor Makes All the Difference

We know that choosing the right staff is among the most important things we do. Many of our camp staff have grown up at Kettleby Valley, so they understand how important it is to connect with campers and make them feel a part of the camp. Counsellors and activity staff are trained to provide campers with a safe and enjoyable outdoor camp experience. Our goal is to give campers the necessary guidance while providing the space they need to develop confidence and independence.

Both our day camp and overnight camp programs have a ratio of one staff to every four campers. This includes our senior staff team, who provide the leadership and resources to help our counsellors and campers succeed at camp.

Extraordinary Outdoor Programming

At Kettleby Valley, our campers have to opportunity to take part in traditional camp activities that aren’t available at many Toronto summer camps. For our youngest campers, our program keys in on giving kids the chance to take on new challenges and developing individual skills. As campers get older, we encourage contribution to the experience, particularly while the campers are waiting for their turn.

Canoeing, climbing wall, ropes course, arts and crafts, nature, camp craft, drama, swimming, field games, archery and cross bow are offered to both day and overnight campers. In addition, our overnight campers have to chance to take part in extra activities like paintball, pottery, and leathercraft and of course, evening programs such as  campfire.
