When it comes to activities and a natural setting, other NewMarket day camps simply can’t offer the same experience. At Kettleby Valley you get the feeling of a northern Ontario summer camp without the three hour drive. With 60 acres of beautiful landscape, covered with trees, Kettleby Valley is just 15 minutes west of Newmarket.
This makes us the ideal summer camp Newmarket families are looking for.
Great staff is the most important part of our summer camp.
With one staff member for every four campers, Kettleby Valley is the summer camp Newmarket families choose. At Kettleby Valley, our Counsellors know that making connections with campers is an essential part of their job.
We teach our staff to provide the leadership that campers need to succeed while giving them room to build their independence and develop self-esteem.
Many of our day camp staff have grown up at Kettleby Valley as campers.
If parents are looking to start sleep away camp, we have the option of day camp with a one-night overnight.
For campers and parents who are considering a full overnight experience, our ‘Resi’ sessions begin on Sunday and end on Friday.
And, for our senior campers, we offer a week-long canoe tripping program with an adventure in Algonquin Park.

As a day camp, Kettleby Valley’s roots began in the late 1950’s as RICHILDACA, which was short for Richmond Hill Day Camps.
Kettleby Valley Camp was founded by Bill and Jean Babcock so that children from the Richmond Hill area would have an opportunity to develop outdoor skills and an appreciation for nature.
As the area between Richmond Hill and Kettleby grew, they began offering Aurora day camp and Thornhill day camp services.
Choosing the day camps your child will attend is an important decision. Please explore our website and contact us if you have any questions.
